Mrs. Thomas, 69, Dies At Moline

Mrs. Carrie V. Thomas, resident of Fairfield for the past 45 years, died at 1 a.m. this morning at the Lutheran hospital in Moline, Ill.

She had been visiting her son, Harry Thomas, at Rock Island, and became seriously ill last week. She had been a patient at the hospital four days at the time of her death.

The body has been returned to Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.

Mrs. Carrie Thomas, 69, was born April 21, 1888, in Van Buren county. She was united in marriage to Arthur Thomas who preceded his wife in death.

She is survived by the following children: Harry S. Thomas, Rock Island, Ill., Dorsey Thomas, Fairfield; two adopted sons, Willis Erickson, Albert City, Ia., and Harrison Jones, Iowa City.

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John Harper, Davenport; and Mrs. Alice Bevins, Ottumwa; and a brother, Charles Hull also of Ottumwa.

Funeral Saturday For Mrs. Thomas

Last rites for Carrie B. Thomas, who died yesterday at Moline, Ill., will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. J. D. Bolojack in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

A resident of Fairfield, she was visiting a son when she became ill.
