Mrs. John M. Slater, whose maiden name was Martha McComb, died at her home in Lebanon, January 20, 1903, after three years of suffering with paralysis. She was seventy-four years old. She left a brother, Hugh McComb, of Farmington and two sisters, Mary of Lebanon, and Mrs. Cordelia Detweiler of Kansas.
