MARY MILLER WYER.

Born Oct. 1, 1833, Died Feb. 5, 1902
Aged 68 years, 4 mos.,
and 4 days.

BORN IN PENNSYLVANIA.

Mrs. Mary Miller Wyer was born in Westmoreland county, Penn. Oct. 1, 1833. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1854 and settled in Van Buren Co. She was married to John Wyer, Nov. 15, 1855, and to them were born six children, four daughters and two sons, one girl dying in infancy.

She united with the Mt. Zion Baptist church in the winter of 1855 before it was removed to Bonaparte and lived a faithful and consistent member until her death.

She was a kind, loving and affectionate wife. A mother ever faithful and thoughtful of those about her. Mrs. Wyer was a good and kind neighbor and will be sadly missed by her many friends. She was seriously ill but a short time, and died Feb. 5, 1902, aged 68 years, 4 months and 5 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, three daughters, two sons, seven grand-children, four sisters and four brothers.

The funeral services were held at her late home on Friday, Feb. 7, at 2 P.M. in the presence of a home filled with sorrowing friends and neighbors who had assembled to pay a last respect to the departed friend.

Rev. J L Ayrault. pastor of the Baptist church, conducted the services both at home and at the grave in the White Cemetery.
