Keith Charles Sloat, 67, of Denver, Colo., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, of numerous strokes.
The memorial service was held in Denver.
Mr. Sloat was born Aug. 7, 1934, the son of Ralph and Lillie Wiggins Sloat, near Keosauqua.
He graduated from Fairfield High School, and then joined the Army, serving several months in Japan. He worked in Fairfield, and then at Case in Burlington.
He was an active member of the Pentecostal Church at Batavia, and later helped run a Christian Camp near Denver.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina Jones of Ollie; one son Leonard Sloat of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; and one sister Joan Payne of Mount Pleasant.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
