L. Morrow rites set

Services for Lester H. Morrow, former Fairfield resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Free Methodist Church with the Rev. John DeMain officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

Morrow died Sunday morning at the Golden Hours Nursing Home at Grant, Nebr.

Lester H. Morrow was born Aug. 19, 1900, at Douds. He was the son of George and Redilla Sampson Morrow. He was married to Leota F. Bequeath Aug. 20, 192, at Ottumwa. She died May 13, 1974.

Morrow moved to Nebraska following the death of his wife. He had been in failing health the past few years.

While a resident of Fairfield, Morrow was a carpenter and contractor.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter: Murl C. Morrow, Ogallall, Nebr., and Glenn W. Morrow, Also of Ogallalla; Maxine M. Hartwig, Springfield, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, George Morrow, Fullerton, Calif., and Emmett Morrow, Douds; and two sisters, Lizzie Parsons Gladbrook, and Rowena Harryman, Douds.
