Obituary of A. C. Ebert

Alvin Clay Ebert, was born near Utica, Iowa, May 19, 1870 and died at Birmingham, December 22, 1919, at the age of 49 years 7 months and 8 days.

Mr. Ebert lived at Birmingham practically all his life, as his parents moved here when he was but five years of age. His father, T. D. Ebert, was a stock___?____, Al early followed him _____section torn out_____ subjects and prayed with him at his own request. He was planning to give a liberal contribution to the new church in memory of his wife at the time of his death. His heart was hungry for truth, for love, for Christ and eternal life. “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness.”

He leaves four sisters: Mrs. Scott Huff, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Nanie Hugus and Mrs. Mary Ebert of Birmingham, and Mrs. Fannie Rhodes of McAllister, Okla. Among his nieces and nephews those closest to him where Mr. Earl Glaha and Mrs. Fannie Hugus Hildebrand.

These his relatives, and with them a large number of friends who respected and loved him, mourn his loss, and will in the years to come keep him in tender memory.

The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev. H. W. Munster, pastor of the Methodist church. ____The rest cut off.____
