W. Glenn Horne, 90, 506 W. Washington, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.
The body has been cremated. Family graveside services will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds at a later date. Friends may call at the family home from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association may be left at Behner Funeral Home.
Horne was born Nov. 7, 1897 in Jefferson County, the son of Thomas and Gertrude Yarnell Horn. He married Velma E. Johnson Feb. 24, 1920 in Fairfield. He owned a restaurant in Booneville and worked in the Louden Manufacturing paint shop. He also was a carpenter and painter.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert B. Horne of Bellevue, Wash.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
