BIRMINGHAM – Faye Bagby, 89, of good Samaritan Home, Keosauqua, formerly of Birmingham, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stockport Christian Church with Rev. Robert Butt officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. A memorial has been established to the Stockport Christian Church.
Mrs. Bagby was born Sept. 3, 1896 in Iowa, the daughter of William and Mary Bonnett Filson. She grew up in Birmingham, graduating from Birmingham High School. She lived her early married life in Illinois. The family moved to Stockport in 1934, and she had lived in Birmingham for 12 years before entering the nursing home. She married Verne Bagby Feb. 26, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Overlander and Mrs. Dean Harlan, both of Stockport; a son, Sheldon Headley of Kewanee, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bagby was a member of Stockport Christian Church, CWF, and Royal Neighbors.
