Tom Bagby

Thomas Lynn Bagby, 84, 904 S. Fifth, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after noon Tuesday. A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.

Bagby was born Sept. 7, 1901 in Van Buren County, the son of James and Mary Warning Bagby. He married Inez M. Heston Sept. 12, 1923 at First Baptist Church in Fairfield. She died Feb. 7, 1969. A self-employed carpenter, he had lived most of this life in Jefferson County. He was a member of Eagles Club.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bob (Wilma) Moore, Mrs. Lewis (Maxine) Tarrence, Mrs. Bruce (Doris) Gowey, all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Verne of Keosauqua, Frank of Fairfield, Chester of Stockport, and a sister, Zella Keller of Fairfield. Three brothers preceded him in death.
