William Coulter
**Handwritten under heading: 6 Nov 1969 RecordWilliam H. Coulter, 79, of 316 Exhange, Keokuk, died at 12:17 Friday morning, Oct. 31 at St. Joseph Hospital, Keokuk, where he had been a patient since May 1.
The son of the late W.H. and Lottie House Coulter, he was born June 21, 1890 in Farmington, Iowa.
He was married to Lottie May Schlatter on Sept. 10, 1923 at Carthage, Ill. She preceded him in death Sept. 15, 1967.
He went to Keokuk from Burlington five years ago. While in Burlington he worked at the Iowa Ordnance Plant as time keeper, retiring 10 years ago. He also was a painter in Farmington. He was a veteran of World War I.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by three sisters.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Nov. 2 at the Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. Chester Johnston officiating. Interment was in the Farmington cemetery.
