August Hohl, 90 of Donnellson died at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 18 in the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua. He was born April 14, 1883 of Donnellson, the son of Jacob and Magdalena Roeder Hohl. On March 19, 1911, he married Laura Krebill at Donnellson. She died August 11, 1924. On Nov. 1933 he married Flossie Frueh. He was a farmer and lived in the Donnellson area all his life. He was a member of the Zion Mennonite church at Donnellson.
He is survived by his wife Flossie and two sons, Lester of Keosauqua and Dale of Maryville, N. Dak.; one daughter, Mrs. Louise (Eileen) Evica, Milwaukee, Wis.; two step daughters, Mrs. Irma Quayle and Mrs. Mary Ellen Prottsman, both of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, one step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one son, one stepson, three sisters, four brothers, and one grandchild.
The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22 . . . .(remainder of obituary is missing)
