Mrs. Bonfield of Fairfield Dies

Fairfield.- Mrs. Albert Bonfield, 55, widow of George Bonfield, died Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital following a stroke of apoplexy which she suffered September 13. Mrs. Bonfield’s late husband was the junior member of the firm of Wade & Bonfield, owners of The Fair store and she had carried on successfully his interests in the firm since his death six years ago.

Mrs. Bonfield is survived by one son, Lieutenant George Bonfield, Jr., who is stationed at Pensacola, Fla., and who left here last Saturday after having spent 10 days here, and three sisters, Mrs. L.D. James, Mrs. R. Bruce Louden and Mrs. Park Russell, all of this city.

Mrs. Bonfield was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church and was interested in community projects. She was a special friend of the Jefferson county hospital. The body is at the Murray funeral home.

Lieutenant Col. L.D. James arrived Tuesday night from Camp Dodge and will remain for the services.
