ROBERT B. MALMGREEN

Robert B. Malmgreen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Malmgreen, was born May 15, 1916, in LosA ngles (sic: Los Angles), California and departed this life Thursday, October 13, 1977, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa at the age of 61. He has been suffering from cancer and had come to Iowa to visit relatives.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his widow, Florence; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Morris of Birmingham; a step-son, Frank Bartos of Douds; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles of California; other relatives and friends. Mr. Malmgreen was a twenty-five year Mason and Shriner. He was a plumber by trade, and having retired from full time work in that field, was in the process of constructing a new home on his farm near Fallbrook, Calif. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and friend.

Family funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 14.1 977 (sic: Oct. 14, 1977) at 3 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. John Cornish, United Methodist pastor officiating. Following cremation the remains will be taken to California and a Masonic memorial service will be held there at a later date.
