Robert M. Harness

Robert M. Harness, age 55, Birmingham, died Sunday, July 19, 1998 at his home.

He was born August 30, 1942 in Fairfield to Robert E. and Mary Louise Rhynas Harness.

He was a lifetime resident of Birmingham, graduating from Birmingham High School in 1960. He worked as a meat cutter at HyVee Food Store prior to becoming a trucker. He owned and operated Harness Trucking for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters: Lori Fowler of Wyandotte, Michigan, Angie Mocol of Eagan, Minn.; one son, Kurt Harness of Fairfield; two grandchildren and his twin brother, Richard Harness of Ottumwa and his sister Marjean Shott of Fairfield.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 24, 1998 in Birmingham, Pastor Phil Campbell officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.
