Fisher Funeral On Wednesday

Mrs. Bertha Stump Fisher, former Fairfield and Jefferson County resident, died Saturday at Waukegan, Ill., where she had made her home for the past number of years.

The casket is being shipped to the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield where last rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ned Gillum in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The casket is scheduled to arrive Tuesday. Members of the family will be at the Behner Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. to receive friends.

Bertha Stump Fisher was born Nov. 5, 1893, near Selma. She was married Dec. 22, 1915 to Ralph V. Fisher. He preceded his wife in death Aug, 5, 1960.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by two sons and one daughter: Paul Fisher, Chicago; Marving[sic] Fisher, Rock Island; and Mrs. Lola Houchin, Waukegan. Also surviving are six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Shepard, Knox, Ind. She was also preceded in death by one son.
