EMMETT DAVIDSON

Emmett Davidson, 56, a farmer and raiser of horses, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 2 at his home near Birmingham.

He was born March 13, 1910, at Washington, the son of Perry and Lena Jacobs Davidson. Dec. 28, 1937, he married Hazel Countryman.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Stanley of Birmingham; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Hall of Birmingham; two grandchildren; a brother, E. H. Davidson of Fairfield; and five sisters, Mrs. Iva Jacobs of Birmingham, Mrs. Flossie Long of Richland, Mrs. Delcie Earll and Mrs. Mae Miller of Washington, and Mrs. Amy Williams of Keota. Four brothers and a sister preceded her[sic] in death.

Services were held Monday Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Birmingham Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter Vander Linden officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
