WILLIAM BISHOP

William M. Bishop, 86, of Keosauqua died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital where he had been for about eight weeks.

He was born March 25, 1885 northwest of Milton in Davis County, the son of Hamilton and Mary Border Bishop. He married Ann Arnold August 20, 1911 in Van Buren County. She died Dec. 13, 1947.

He is survived by three sons, Gordon and Ivan of Keosauqua, and Harold of Corydon; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Breckenridge Waldren of Keosauqua; one sister, Mrs. May Warrington of Estherville; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24,in the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James M. Ford and the Rev. Millard Marshall in charge.

Burial was in Purdom Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
