MRS. HELEN BEGGS

Mrs. Helen Beggs, 64, former Van Buren County resident, died June 12 at Chapman, Kansas. The daughter of Jesse and Cora Caldin Marshall, she was born Dec. 27, 1907 at Troy. The family also lived at Douds, Lebanon and Milton.

She is survived by her widower, Lea Beggs and a son, Robert of Chapman; four brothers, Earl Marshall of Marshalltown, Ernest Marshall of Libertyville, Roscoe Marshall of Muscatine and Clarence Marshall of Bonaparte; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Cecil of Milton, Mrs. Ethel Baker of Ottumwa, Mrs. Weltha Heater of Mediapolis, Mrs. Pauline Guthrie of Arizona; one grandchild. Two brothers, Ray and Theodore, and one sister, Alta, preceded her in death. The funeral was held on June 16 at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial was in the Pittsburg Cemtery.
