MRS. EDWARD H. BROWN

Veda Fay Brown, 82 years of age, passed away on September 18, 1972 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa.

She was born on December 23, 1889 near Stockport, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Hall Crenchaw (sic: Crenshaw). She married to Richard Henry Brown of Stockport, November 11, 1909, and spent most of his life in and around Stockport.

Surviving are one son, Manning Brown and his wife Eileen of Huntley, Illinois; two brothers Ivan Crenshaw of Douds, Iowa and Harold Crenshaw of Stockport, Iowa; five grandchildren, Norma Nelson of Birlington (sic: Burlington), Iowa, Mildred and Michael Brown of Huntley, Ill., Marshall Brown of the U.S. Navy, stationed at Savanna,Ill., Richard Brown of Moberly, Missouri, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, parents, two brothers and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 21 at Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Rev. James Ford of the Keosauqua United Methodist church officiated at the services. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.
