May 2, 1978A. Crenshaw Dies At 78
DOUDS - Anna Belle Crenshaw, 78, died at 7:24 a.m. today at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
She was born Dec. 1, 1899 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Elmer and Anna Jacobson Hollander. She married Ivan H. Crenshaw Sept. 5, 1922. The couple farmed in Jefferson and Van Buren Counties before moving to the Douds community 41 years ago. He died in 1976.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Knecht of Corning, Mrs. Willard Hoskin of Keosauqua; two sons, Melvin of Phoenix, Ariz., Vinson of Douds; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eva Hollander and Myrtle Emry, both of Fairfield, Mildred Shott of Louisville, Ky., Berniece Foster of Gaithersburg, Md., and a brother, Hubert Hollander of Fairfield.
Mrs. Crenshaw was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Douds.
The body is at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua where it will remain until 9 p.m., Thursday, when it will be taken to Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
Services will be held there Friday, 1 p.m. with the Rev. L. C. Brown and the Rev. Helen Brown officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery.
