Mary Rosalie Sharpneck
Mary Rosalie Moore, daughter of Michael and Abigale Moore, was born April 27, 1851, near Troy, Iowa. In the fall of 1890 she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she passed away December 29, 1935 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 2 days.
She was married to John Sharpneck who lived only a few months. She had four sisters and five brothers, of whom Mrs. Alva Pettit id the only one surviving. She united with the Presbyterian church when about 20 years of age and remained a faithful member to the end.
Her remains were brought to Milton accompanied by the nephew, Harry C. Behm, of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral services were held in the Burnett funeral home Friday January 3, at 10:30 a.m. in charge of Rev. Hehner, of the Methodist church. The Rev. J. C. Caughlan and Mrs. Meda Heisel sang two duets. The pallbearers were Clay Baird, J. C. Leaverton, George Dille, Granville Darnell, Jake Roby and O. E. Tade. Interment was in Oak Point cemetery, north of Milton, beside her twin sister.
