April 20, 1972Wife Of Keosauquan Dies In Auto Accident In Idaho
Carol Hogan McGrath, 26, was killed in on automobile accident near Moscow, Idaho at 10:45 a.m. Friday, April 14. She was the wife of Stephen McGrath of Keosauqua.
The couple had lived in Moscow for about a year and a half. McGrath the son of Mr. and Mrs. James McGrath of Keosauqua, is enrolled in law school at the University of Idaho in Moscow and Mrs. McGrath taught English and literature at Lewiston Clark College, Lewiston, Idaho.
Relatives here said Mrs. McGrath was the driver of a car which was struck broadside by another automobile. A young girl with her and two persons in the other car were seriously injured. She was enroute to Lewiston at the time of the accident.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hogan of Naperville, Ill. She married Stephen McGrath in August 1969.
The funeral was held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield Monday, April 17, with burial in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua. A Christian Wake service was held at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua Sunday night.
