The funeral service for Goldie Pleasant Mellott, 80, who died on April 16, 1972, was held on Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church with Rev. Everett Day officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
She was born March 19, 1892 at Harrisonville, Pa., the daughter of Martin P. and Mahalia Mellott Sipe. She married William Mellott in 1911 and he survives as do two sons, Rudolph of Luray, Mo., Harlan of Milton; two brothers, John Sipe of Fairfield and Richard of Medill, Mo.; and one sister, Pearl Smith of Denver, Colo.
She united with the Christian Church at the age of 17 years.
