Paul E. Yarnell, 83, of rural Stockport died at 8:44 p.m. Sept. 17, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

He was born May 27, 1909, in Birmingham to Edward E. and Grace M. Teeter Yarnell. He married Cleola Canaday in 1930. She died in 1964. He married Meda Anderson McKee on Aug. 21, 1986, in Bushnell, Ill.

He lived his entire life in Birmingham and Stockport, and graduated from Birmingham High School. He and his brother owned a painting and paper hanging business. He had been a machinist for Louden Machinery Co. in Fairfield and later was an inspector until his retirement. He was a member of Birmingham Presbyterian Church, Stockport Lions Club and Odd Fellow Lodge.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Pauline Brush of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Irvine of Elmhurst, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary; two brothers, Cecil and Pro; and two sisters, Mary and Beulah.

The service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 21, 1992 at Birmingham Presbyterian Church, the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Memorials may be made to Birmingham or Stockport Library, Birmingham or Stockport First Responders, or to his church.

Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of arrangments.

(I research the CANADAY lineage. Spouse was Cleola Marjorie CANDAY, 1913-1964.)
