Andrew F. Birchmeir, 76 of Cantril, died at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 13 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
A farmer, he was the son of Theophilis and Rosina Schneider Birchmier, born in Davis County Oct. 20, 1895. He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are three brothers, Anthony J. of Cantril, Albert of Maxwell, and Walter of Cantril. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
The service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 17 at St. May Magdalene Catholic Church in Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. D.L. Waldschmidt. Burial was in the Troy Cemetery at Troy.
