Ray WATSON

STOCKPORT - Ray R. WATSON, 85, lifetime resident of Stockport, died Monday morning at the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 3 p.m., at Stockport United Methodist Church with the Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery with Masonic and military rites. Memorials to the Stockport Public Library may be left at Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham.

Watson was born Feb. 18, 1895 at Stockport, the son of John H. and Mary VEATCH WATSON. On Aug. 23, 1922 he married Bonnie DeWITT at Fairfield. She died Dec. 9, 1968.

Surviving are a son, Ted of Stockport and three grandchildren. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

A World War I veteran, Watson was a charter member of the Stockport American Legion Post 147 and a 50-year member of Stockport Workman Masonic Lodge 634.
