Edith Dorothy rites Wednesday

Services for Edith H. Dorothy will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. D. O. Van Dyne officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Edith H. Dorothy, 70, 1108 S. Fourth, died at 4 a.m. Monday at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born Oct. 24, 1911 in Van Buren County. She was the daughter of J. P. and Ethel Watson Standley. She was married to Floyd Dorothy March 12, 1930 in Ottumwa.

Mrs. Dorothy lived most of her life in the Stockport community except the past right years in Fairfield. She was a member of the Big Cedar Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Vivian Nelson, Normal, Ill.; a son Donnie Dorothy, Fairfield; eight grandchildren and one sister, Loretha Peck, Keosauqua.
