STOCKPORT --- Cora M. Silver, 92, former longtime Stockport resident, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 1988, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with David Reed officiating. Burial with rites by Stockport Chapter 544, Order of Eastern Star will be in Spencer Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Stockport Chapter 544, OES and the Stockport Library.
Mrs. Silver was born Sept. 3, 1895, in Cedar Lake-Ebenezer community, Jefferson County, the daughter of Gus and Catherine Oriez Keller. She married Lawrence E. Silver March 12, 1917. He died Aug. 21, 1969. A homemaker, she helped on the family farm and assisted her husband in the poultry business. She lived most of her life in Stockport, where she was a 50-year member of Stockport Chapter 544, OES.
The last of a family generation of 10, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
