Death Come To Mrs. Channel, 39

Mrs. Forrest Channel, 39, died about 10:10 p.m. last night at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past nine days. She had been in serious condition the past week.

The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.

Mrs. Forrest Channel was born March 5, 1925, at Birmingham, the daughter of Rilles and Alice Ranard Pool. She was married to Forrest Channel on Sept. 10, 1943.

The family home is on rural route 1 on the Walton road and she was employed as a clerk at the J. c. Penney store at the time of her death.

Before moving to this community 12 years ago she made her home in Birmingham.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jalene, a junior at the Fairfield high school; and the following brothers and sisters: Jessie Schleeter, Birmingham; Joe Pool, Birmingham; Wilson Pool, Birmingham; Erma Hootman, douds; Frank Pool, Birmingham; Robert Pool, Birmingham; and Ester Leyden, Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Transcribed for genealogy purposes, I am researching this family.
