Mary Lou Thompson

Mary Lou Thompson, 56, formerly of Keosauqua, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at her home in Alameda, California.

She was born October 4, 1939 in Van Buren County to George N. and Elsie Knoll Aldrich. She married James E. Thompson July 10, 1965 in Keosauqua.

She was a graduate of Keosauqua High School, Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, and was a school teacher for a number of years. She also was a graduate of Chabot College Dental Hygiene Program and Alameda College Dental Assisting Program, where she was presently coordinator of the Dental Assisting Program.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Adrienne Thompson of New Orleans, Louisiana and two brothers, Donald Aldrich of Keosauqua and Roger Aldrich of Jacksonville, Florida.

Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service was held Monday, March 11, at Alameda College. A scholarship fund in her name has been established by the Alameda Dental Society. Memorials may be sent to Alameda City Dental Group, 2241 Central Ave., Suite B, Alameda, CA or in care of Donald Aldrich, P. O. Box 126, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
