VERYL R. KERR

Veryl R. Kerr, 78, died at his home near Douds December 25, 1991.

He was born Sept. 17, 1913, in the same home to Ira and Gertrude Lowe Kerr. He married Berly [sic-Beryl] Williams in the same home on Sept. 13, 1932.

A 1932 Birmingham High School graduate, he lived on the family farm all his life. He did custom combining and custom baling. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Birmingham.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Judy Vannatta of Mansfield, Ohio; a son, Dale of Douds; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Vida Phillips of Douds and Verna Ruth Boyer of Douds.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Wilda.

The service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 28. 1991 at the United Methodist Church in Birmingham, the Revs. Sara Malone and David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Douds.

Memorials may be made to his church or the Birmingham Fire Station.

Gould Funeral Home in Richland was in charge of arrangements.
