Sad Death of Trevarton Warren

Cantril friends learned with sorrow of the accident which happened to Trevarton, oldest son of Rev. and Mrs. T. Warren of Donnellson and later of his death. Last Wednesday afternoon Junior and John, sons of Dr. J. L. Saar of Donnellson accompanied by Trevarton Warren went hunting. They were returning home but waiting on a bridge for the latter’s parents to come along, returning from a funeral at a country church, for them to ride home in the auto. Trevarton was sitting on the approach of the bridge when the dogs chased a rabbit by and Junior Saar who had a pump gun, in his excitement shot Trevarton in the calf of the leg. He was immediately rushed to the hospital in Keokuk but could not be operated on for loss of blood. Blood transfusions were made, his mother giving 22 ounces of her blood but to no avail. The limb was amputated Saturday afternoon but he never came out from the influence of the medicine and passed away about eight p.m. Funeral will be Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at Donnellson. Rev. Warren was pastor here two years ago and the parents have the sympathy of the entire community.
