Illness Fatal to Mrs. Yarnell, 51

BIRMINGHAM, Ia. --- Mrs. Paul Yarnell, 51, died Sunday morning at her home in Birmingham after a lengthy illness.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Birmingham Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. Wayne Lowry. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The body is at the Burch Funeral home.

Mrs. Yarnell was the former Cleola M. Canaday. She was born July 26, 1913 near Birmingham, the daughter of Elmer and Edna Jackson Canaday. She was married to Paul Yarnell, who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Mrs. George Brush, Fairfield; and Gary Yarnell, Birmingham. Other survivors are six grandchildren, her parents and one sister, Mrs. Karen Snyder, all of Birmingham; and the following brothers: Earl Canaday, Birmingham; Lloyd Canaday, Vacaville, Calif.; John Canaday, Boulder, Colo.; Clifford Canaday, Guantanamo, Cuba; Dean Canaday, Fairfield; and Robert Canaday, Ames.

Mrs. Yarnell was a member of the Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She had been in charge of the Birmingham school lunch program since it was organized in 1954. Mrs. Yarnell's death occurred in her 51st birthday.
