Bettye Rose Hill, 67, Mesa, Arizona, passed away January 29, 2001, at her home.
She was born April 10, 1933, the daughter of Verne and Cora Heare Van Stienburg in Stockport. She attended school in Stockport before moving to Burlington and later to Arizona.
Survivors include a daughter; two grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Swailes, Mt Pleasant and Mable Webb, Burlington; one brother, George Van Stienburg, Lampasas, TX; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was cremated with the ashes strewn over the desert.
Botimer Funeral Home Inc., Phoenix, AZ, was in charge of arrangements.
