Mrs. Lu Emma J. Sadler, 87, widow of Kerns Sadler, died at 12:30 pm Thursday, August 24, at Holden Nursing Home in Keosauqua where she had been since May.
She was born May 31, 1885, at Winchester, to Henry and Louisa Johnston Van Steinburgh. Nearly a lifelong resident of Lebanon, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. She married Mr. Sadler, November 13, 1905. He died in 1920.
Surviving are one son George and one daughter Mrs. Lela Shipley, both of Keosauqua; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The Service was held Saturday, August 26, at 2pm at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds conducted by the Rev Millard Marshall. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery.
