A Terrible Accident
From Milton Herald:
A terrible accident happened at the home of Henry Roarbargh, two mile south of Milton Sunday evening when Harry Roarbaugh was accidently shot by his uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Roarbaugh, who lives on the Tutewiler place south of town, were visitors Saturday and Sunday at the home of Marion Roarbargh, five miles northwest of Memphis. When they were ready to start home Harry who was only 11 years old wanted to return with them. His parents consented reluctantly. Upon arriving home about 4 o’clock, Sunday, Mr. Roarbargh took his gun and started to drive up the stock and to look at his traps, the boy following. At one of the traps he made an effort to pull it from the hole, when the gun was discharged, the entire shot striking Harry in the stomach. He was taken to the house and Dr. Summers summoned but he was beyond medical aid and survived only two hours. He was taken to his home for burial Monday.
