Ewing Orville Tade

Ewing Orville Tade was born in Harrisburg Township, Van Buren county, February 15, 1874, and departed this life April 25, 1936, aged 62 years, 2 months, and 10 days. He spent his life in Van Buren county except for 2 years spent in the Dakotas and 5 years in New Mexico.

He was converted and united with the Baptist church at Harrisburg in his early manhood. In 1910 his membership was transferred to the Hillsboro Baptist church.

On February 26, 1902, near Knoxville, Iowa, he was united in marriage with Blanche Amsberry who remains to mourn his going. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy.

Four daughters, Lorna Augspurger, Pulaski; Mary Thiede, Ft. Madison, Frances and Lois and also three grandchildren survive to mourn their loss.

His parent’s one sister, Kate and one brother, Logan, preceded him to the great beyond. He leaves also four sisters and two brothers- Mrs. Nellie Phelps, Mrs. Lily Harlan, H.D. Tade, Will Tade of Hillsboro, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Atkins, Winterset, Iowa, and Mrs. Lola Morrison of Wyoming--- obit ends abruptly here….
