Dan Helsel died very suddenly Friday evening in Milton. He was attending services at the M. E. church when taken violently ill and was dead before they could get him to the office of a physician. Funeral services were held at Milton Sunday afternoon. He leaves a wife and two sons.

His mother, Mrs. Mary Helsel, was visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Scheyli, of Bonaparte when the sad news came. They went to Milton Saturday.

Mr. Helsel was in apparent good health, his death evidently being caused by a stroke of paralysis. He was a prominent farmer, had lived in that vicinity 28 years and at the time of his decease was 55 years old.
