Mr. Andrew DeHart, who was candidate last year for superintendent of schools, died Monday of hemorrhage of the lungs after an illness of about nine days. He was formerly a student of the Keosauqua high school, and was a graduate of the state normal at Cedar Falls. He was a successful teacher and was held in the highest esteem by all. He was 31 years old, and was married in February, 1897 to Miss Dell Lorton. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at Center Chapel, Vernon township. Rev. C.W. Wilson of Martinsburg, Iowa preached the sermon. Not half of the people could go in the church. It is estimated there were 300 teams there.
