Mamie Hassler, little daughter of Fre* and Susan Hassle aged 2 years 8 months and 16 days, died Wednesday, May 23 at 8:15 p.m. of pneumonia originating in an attact[sic] of measles. She was buried Friday, at 2 p.m. from the house. Rev. G. Goodenough officiating.

Mamie was a bright little child and will be missed by the many who learned to love the winsome little creature. But it is ever thus: the buds wither by the slightest front before they have hardly started to grow.
