SARAH ANN JONES

Sarah Ann Rader was born Nov. 30, 1817, in Highland county, Ohio. Departed this life April 24, 1906, at the age of 88 years. She was married in Ohio in 1836 to Ellis Jones. With her family she moved to Keosauqua, Iowa, in 1855, which has been her principle place of residence. For two years previous to last August she made her home in Richland, Iowa, with a daughter, Mrs. Ella J. Funk, who came with her mother to Keosauqua in August and remained with her to the end. Mrs. Jones passed away at the residence of another daughter, Mrs. G. W. Davidson, in Keosauqua and was laid to rest in the Fellows cemetery. Funeral services were held in the Christian church, conducted by Eld. Chas. Lawrence Wheeler, assisted by Rev. P. H. Hawk and Rev. J. W. Carson. Sister Jones united with the Baptist church [remainder was cut off].
