Mrs. James Cummings

Minnie May Lineaweaver was born December 4, 1868, on Vernon Prairie in Van Buren County, Iowa, where her early life was spent.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lineaweaver.

On October 18, 1888, she was united in marriage with James Cummings and lived on a farm a mile south of Bonaparte until her death on Friday, May 21, 1915, aged ----- years, five months and ---- days.
Her illness she bore with patience and to the end her thoughts were of others. Though her life was short, her beautiful character will live long in the memories of all who knew her and the influence of her true Christian spirit will bear its fruits.

She was converted to the M.E. Church October 31, 1897, and of it she was a devout and active member. She belonged to the Guild, the Cloverleaf Club, and was president and treasurer of the Ladies Aid for a number of years.
She was a credit to one and all and the absence of her kind and cheerful disposition brings to our mind the one comforting thought: prepare to answer God’s call and meet her in the world beyond.
Her death leaves a vacancy hard to fill in the community in which she lived.

Besides the bereaved husband she leaves to mourn their loss -----------------------------.
Funeral services ------------------------- The choir sang appropriate hymns and special favorites of the departed one.
The pall bearers were Chas. Wire, Pete Watts, I.E. Hunter, R.M. Story, Fred Helwig and N.H. House. The floral offerings were beautiful.
Many sympathizing friends followed the remains to the Bonaparte cemetery where she was laid to rest beside her parents.
____________

We wish to thank the friends and neighbors who so kindly rendered ---services during the illness and death of our wife and mother.
J.C. Cummings and Son
