Mary A. Wolf, daughter of Jacob and Catharine Wolf was born Feb. 12, 1846.

She came with her parents to Iowa in 1851 and settled on Vernon Prairie.
She was one of a family of ten children, seven of whom still survive her.
They are William of Hillsboro, Oregon; Alfred Wolf of Bonaparte; John Wolf of Vernon Prairie; Thomas Wolf of Calispel, Mont.; Mrs. --- Ward of Vernon Prairie; Mrs. T. Horton (or Lorton) of Mt. Sterling; and Mrs. ---- Henry of Bonaparte.

She was married Dec. 7, 1865, to George P. Lineaweaver and to this union were born three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Cummings, Mrs. Mollie Willits, and Mrs. Georgia Stafford, all of whom survive her.

She united with the Methodist Episcopal church about twenty-five years ago and from that time until her death she was an active and consistent Christian. She displayed her Christian fortitude and faith in God by the heroic manner in which she bore her suffering and at the very last expressed her desire to be released and be at rest with God.

She was a charter member of Magnolia Chapter O. E. S. of Bonaparte in which order she took high rank and where as well in the church, she will be greatly missed.

She and her husband moved from the farm on Vernon Prairie to Bonaparte twenty-one years ago. The husband passed away Nov. 9, 1905, since which time she has lived a widow until her death which occurred Friday, Feb. 9, 1912.

Mrs. Lineaweaver was a most excellent woman and possessed of many fine characteristics which endeared her to her family and large circle of acquaintances. She was a woman of whom it can be said, “The world is better because she lived in it.”

Beside her three daughters, four brothers, and three sisters, she leaves four grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday forenoon at eleven with her pastor, Rev. J. H. Taylor in charge, and interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
The pallbearers were J. F. Boyer, J. I. Israel, G. A. Booth, A. V. Blackford, C. S. Percival and John Matlock.

We desire to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness shown during the sickness and death of our mother.
