Tuesday, December 2, 1975Mrs. BAKER Dies At 90
SELMA - Mrs. Nellie M. BAKER, 90, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa where she had been a patient since April, 1974.
The daughter of Alonzo and Sally Belle COOPER HUBBELL. Mrs. BAKER was born May 7, 1885 at Bloomfield, Ohio. On Aug. 1906 she married George N. BAKER at West Plains, Mo. They moved to Selma in 1912. He died in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, George A. of Selma and Albert of Fairfield; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Belle HOOTMAN of Douds; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a brother, John HUBBELL of Centerburg, Ohio.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Donald Strauch officiating. Burial will be in Iowaville Cemetery, Selma.
