Mary (Wadmore) Myers, 1816-1888

Mrs. Mary Myers, died at home Monday morning Oct. 1 of consumption, aged 72 years.

Mary Wadmore was born in Hillsborough, Highland county, Ohio in 1816, and was married to Thom. W. Rogers April 12, 1838. She removed with her husband to Pittsburg, this county, in 1841, and after a few months removed to Farmington, where she has since resided. Mr. Rogers enlisted in the Mexican army and died in the hospital in Mexico Aug. 29, 1847, leaving her a widow with three children. On October 22, 1859, she was married to James Myers, by Rev. R. D. McM__?__. Mr. Myers died March 6, 1862.

Mrs. Myers was the mother five children, Matilda, Ellen and Lafayette by her first husband and Sarah and Myra by her second husband. Only two are now living, Matilda and Myra.

The funeral occurred Tuesday at 2 o’clock from the Baptist church. Rev. G. C. [the remainder is not legible.]
