JOHN E. HOGAN

John E. Hogan, son of Mary and Isaac J. Hogan was born in Clark county, Mo., on May 29, 1875 and passed away at Iowa State hospital, Jan. 13, 1944 at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 15 days, having been ill only a few days.

John came to Bonaparte with his parents at an early age and has lived here since with the exception of a few years spent in Keosauqua.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother and a sister.

He leaves to mourn their loss a son, Leslie of Otsego, Mich, a daughter, Mrs. Verle Brinning of Washington, Iowa, and three grandchildren, also two brothers, Walter of Bonaparte and Clarence of Chehalis, Wash., two sisters, Nellie Vance of Bonaparte and Betty Stackpoole some where in the west and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted in Page's chapel, in Bonaparte, Saturday, Jan. 15, at 2 o'clock, by the Methodist pastor, the Rev. John S. Ellis. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
