Marie A. Shaw died at her residence in Bonaparte, January 14, aged [?] years, [?] months and 14 days. [ Not legible ] she had [ not legible ], which weighed 26 pounds when it was removed the lifeless corpse. Mrs. Straw was born in France and went to California some 56 years ago and [?] years later was married to John Straw. They removed to Missouri and lived in that state and Iowa ever since. Father Wilhelm of Ottumwa blessed the remains, after which they were removed to Acosta, Mo., for burial.

Note: Birth & death dates are unknown, her complete name was obtained from her husband’s obituary.
