PAUL ARTHUR MAIRET

Paul Arthur Mairet of Mt. Zion, Iowa, son of Paul and Rose Mairet, was born near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, August 8, 1904, and died at Benton, Arizona, on March 30, 1943, at the age of 38 years, 6 months and 22 days.

He had gone to Arizona hoping that his health might be benefited by the change in climate. He had been in ill health for more than two years, and everything possible had been done for his recovery, but all to no avail, as his disease had never been diagnosed. He was great sufferer and was very patient.

He was married on Dec. 24, 1924, to Miss Eunice McLain, who with six children survive him, one son Donnie having preceded him in death. The children are Richard, Virginia, Paul Arthur, Patti, Dannie and Ronnie, all at home.

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Rose Schlarbaum, two brothers and three half brothers. His father and one half sister also preceded him in death.

The body arrived at the Catcott funeral home at Birmingham on Friday Morning and funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. C. Irvine with burial in Forbes cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the I. O. O. F. lodge of Birmingham.
