Frank Talbott was born in Clark Co., Mo., Jan. 22, 1874 and died at the residence of his sister in Nanticoke, Pa., on Dec. 23, 1895. Leaving the house at 6 o’clock Monday morning, in the bloom of youth and health to enter upon his daily task which was oiling and overseeing the machinery in a gig house, and while following in his line of duty, the coupling on one of the shafts caught in his clothing and pulled him into the machinery and injured him badly both externally and internally, from which he died in an hour. He was conscious up to within ten minutes of his death. While yet rational he called his sister, brother and brother-in-law to the bed; he said that he was prepared to enter heaven and in a few short moments he would be with mother and he would be buried by her side. To his relative he gave his personal effects, designating the articles he wished to be given to his brothers and sisters, then he threw his arms around their necks and kissed them bidding them good-by and with a smile of composure he passed away and his spirit took its flight to god who gave it.
Frank was a model young man and his many young associates both here and there are sorely grieved to hear of his misfortune.
A mother, brother and sister have preceded him to that realm of bliss and he leaves a father, four brothers, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
A dear one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
