MRS. ROBT. SLOAN DEAD

Mrs. Mary SLOAN, the wife of Judge Robert SLOAN of Keosauqua died Wednesday afternoon. She was 70 years of age and loved and respected by all who knew her. During the three of her sickness she was patient and always greated her friends with a smile, when they called to see her. Keosauqua had been her home since childhood.

She is the mother of seven children, five of whom are living. Della and Elizabeth preceded her in death. Mrs. E. E. WHITENEY of Colorado was unable to be here but the remaining four were with her when she died - Robert, Hugh and Stella SLOAN and Mrs. Jo THEME. The funeral was held from the family residence Thursday afternoon and the interment took place in the Purdom cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and children.
